Larisa Aukon: Best of Show, 2008 Escalante Plein Air Festival |
|
Paul Scott Gallery artist Larisa Aukon recently won Best in Show for her painting “The House” in the 2008 Escalante Plein Air Festival in Escalante, Utah.
The Latvian-born colorist has quickly become one of the most talked about artists at Paul Scott Gallery. Her classical training at the Academy of Art in Riga, Latvia allows her to create masterful “modern” palettes while faithfully adhering to academic tenets. While her works are easy to spot from far away, at closer look they reflect balance, compositional confidence and color harmony.
The Flagstaff painter will be participating in the Sedona Arts Festival from October 19 to 26, 2008 in Sedona, Arizona. New works by Larisa are always on the wall at Paul Scott Gallery.
