Olga Nicolaevna Porter was born in Russia in 1964, daughter of a naval officer and a librarian. From age 17 to 21 she studied art in St. Petersburg at the studio of Vassily Suvorov, pupil of renowned Russian artist Arkadi Rylov. Olga moved to the United States in 1989 and studied life drawing and painting in California and Texas, including at the Glassell School of Art in Houston. Olga frequently travels for painting workshops both in the US and abroad.
