Alain Moulis was born in Paris. The city’s rich cultural heritage had a profound influence on the young boy, setting Alain on a lifelong path of artistic expression.

In 1969, Alain passes the rigorous entrance exams to the prestigious National Superior School of Applied Arts in Paris, studying there for 5 years until receiving a Master of Arts degree in 1974.

Alain moved to the United States in 1975 where he began a successful carreer in designing decorative fabrics for various prestigious facshion houses.  By the 1980’s, he was working for the well-known publishing house, Galaxy of Graphics, designing illustrations for advertising venues.

Nature’s perfection, beauty and power have long fascinated the fine artist, compelling him to create dramatic canvases that infuse life’s vitality with a simple sense of tranquility. While Alain believes an artist should constantly study the past masters of the art world, his philosophy has always been based on the basic premise of “celebrating life. ”

Alain has regularly exhibited ar various galleries throughout the United States since 1975. Today, he lives in Arizona.
