Corrina started drawing horses at age 5 and continued throughout school. She had a private tutor in high school who encouraged her to pursue her art, and she began painting other animals. She received a scholarship to study with a wildlife artist after high school and attended the School of Visual Concepts in Seattle, studying figure drawing and fashion illustration.
After taking time away from art to get her business degree, she resumed painting, first in watercolor and then pastel. She soon found that the two mediums weren’t working for her and started studying oil painting. She took many workshops across the country with wildlife and landscape artists including Ned Mueller, Dave Wade, Dan Mediuch, Ralph Oberg, Matt Smith, George Strickland, John Budicin, Scott Christenson and John Seery Lester. She also won a scholarship to study at the Scottsdale Art School.
She began doing art shows in Arizona, California and Washington and later moved to Jackson Hole, WY for the summers. She usually spends her winters in Arizona and summers in Wyoming.
She enjoys plein air painting as well as photographing and painting animals. When not painting, Corrina is often spending time with her horse and the other horses in the barn who provide inspiration.
