Through years of experimenting, Kong Ping has successfully created his own artistic style which is characterized by vividly infused palettes and confident brushwork. His landscapes combine traditional Chinese ink brush lines with Western color, tones and compositions. His contemporary figurative work, mostly on paper, reflect a strong expressionistic tendency through bold and bright color swaths. These works have a humorous touch that is deeply rooted in Chinese folk art.
Ping has been represented in the US by Paul Scott Gallery since late 2011.
